Italian Marks

I decided to teach my math class how to make tally marks while playing a math game last week. The kids really enjoyed the activity and learned how to make a tally mark every time they rolled the dice to keep track of their rolls. Later in the day, one of the Kindergarten students who come to me for Math went up to his own classroom teacher and said” I loved math today. We even learned how to make Italian marks!” Guess I will be doing some vocab reteaching next week! That is after I stop smiling! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving vacation.
